2022 Year in Review Reflecting on the Past Year and Thinking towards the Future

This year has been exciting. Although I’ve been blogging for years, this was the first year that I thought of myself as a blogger and wanted to get myself out there. I got a new logo, created specific social media pages and put out more content. My goal was weekly posts and I managed to create 36 posts this year. Here are a few cool stats from 2022:

Visitors: 782

Most Read Blog: Media Trauma- My reaction to the 94th Academy Awards

Top Referral Site: Facebook

At face value, these numbers are low, but I’m happy to have started to take things more seriously this year. Blogging is something I enjoy, so the numbers don’t have to be viral for me to feel happy. If even half of my 782 visitors liked the content, I’m pleased. This year has taught me the value of just doing it. Content is important. Next year, I’ll have more reasonable goals and expectations. In the new year my goal will be at least one blog every other week. I’m also planning to make the blog accessible by adding a podcast component in which I read the posts. My ultimate goal is to finish the Overcoming Depression series and expand my audience by creating online courses in which I go through various mental health skills and basics of mental health.

This year has been a rollercoaster, but I’m so thankful for this year’s blessings. Thank you for reading my blog and being part of this journey. I hope that you’ve found this blog helpful and, as always, I’d love to hear from you. Please comment which was your favorite blog. Also leave some suggestions for things you’d like me to blog about or make an online class about in the coming year.

Happy New Year 🎉
